Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a national cooperative program between libraries designed to share materials from their collections.
This system is used to supply a variety of resources that are not available at Culpeper County Library. ILL services are available to library patrons over the age of 18 who pay taxes in the County of Culpeper. The libraries of surrounding counties provide ILL services for residents of those counties.
Patrons requesting ILL's must provide a valid phone number at which they may be reached, as the lending library has the right to issue a recall on an item at any time. A patron may request no more than three (3) interlibrary loan items at one time. These items are owned by other institutions, and patrons are responsible for any replacement charges.
Interlibrary loan service is free, but the patron may be charged for any shipping fees or other charges that the normal fourth class library rate postage does not cover. Patrons will be charged $1.00 per day for overdue Interlibrary Loans. Items requested via ILL MUST be older than one (1) year.
Visit the library to submit an ILL request form. You may download the form below and bring it to the library to complete your request.
